LNHBA Committees & Councils

All Lake Norman Home Builder Association members and their associates are invited to join any and all councils and/or committees, which hold a personal or professional interest for them.

Serving on a council rewards each member with influence, prestige, industry knowledge and the opportunity to expand their business. Serving on a committee allows a member to become more involved in the LNHBA and increase their networking opportunities.

Associates Committee

The mission of the Associates Committee is to bring value to all Associate, Builder, and Affiliate members by providing multiple opportunities to interact and participate collectively and/or one-on-one with all members, to provide support to our builders and arrange functions and events that are appealing to the general membership. To accomplish this mission, the Associates Committee coordinates events that are fun and appealing to the entire membership?and include the?Spring & Fall?Golf Tournaments. Membership Committee

The Membership Committee oversees the ongoing recruitment and membership support for our association. The Membership Committee is responsible for welcoming and educating new members at New Member Orientations and General Membership Meetings. Committee members continually strive to make membership even better. The goal is to make sure that our members are getting all they can to be successful. We welcome feedback on the things that interest you and that you would like to see in the current year and beyond. Best of the Lake Committee

The Best of the Lake Committee is responsible for developing, producing and overseeing all aspects of the association’s Best of the Lake Design Competition and Awards Gala. The event celebrates the builders, designers & craftsman who entered new custom homes, whole house renovations, kitchen & bath renovations, outdoor lighting spaces & interior design & staging projects for consideration by judges. Remodelers Council

Remodelers Council

The REMODELERS COUNCIL of the Lake Norman Home Builders Association is dedicated to enhancing the remodeling industry for consumers, remodelers and suppliers. Through education, networking, and professionalism, the Council strives to set the benchmark of integrity and credibility for the remodeling industry in the Lake Norman and surrounding areas. The members of the Remodelers Council are passionate about their industry and raising the standards for all. Guest speakers are often invited to these meetings to inform and keep members current on all facets of our industry. The Remodelers Council is also committed to giving back to the community. We continue to work with the NC Wildlife Federation to help replace wildlife habitats and we support Our Towns Habitat. We believe strongly that building solid relationships helps build a strong industry in our community.?(Must be a member of the Lake Norman HBA, additional council dues of $50?apply.)

Professional Women in Building

Professional Women in Building

LNHBA Professional Women in Building is a diverse group of ladies that get involved in the community, raising money to go toward scholarships for high school seniors looking to advance his or her education with regard to the building industry, exciting fundraising projects and much, much, more.

Lunch meetings and special occasion meetings offer the chance to socialize with a wonderful group of ladies that share the common bond of this industry.

Building Performance Council

The LNHBA Building Performance Council was established in July 2008.

Our Mission

First and foremost is to educate through promotion, inspiration, guidance and certification of Green Building design, construction and implementation.

Our Objectives

  1. Educate members and our community to provide a ? knowledgeable understanding of Green Building principles, process and values.
  2. Promote Green Building awareness through publication, open forums, presentations and special events.
  3. Provide a certification process to enable members to achieve a NAHB Certified Green Professional designation.
  4. Establish a simple guidance process to inspire Home Builders to embark on Green Building design implementation.
